The wise use of resources would decide on the long-term success of a company.
The focus here: purchasing and supply chain management. "In the manufacturing industry, up to 60 % of the CO₂ footprint is purchased", explains Andreas Dölecke, member of the Kerkhoff management. "This makes purchasing the central driver for sustainability in companies. In the future, the door will only be opened here to suppliers who are uncompromisingly committed to resource-saving production."
