| Düsseldorf, February 7, 2011 – Starting immediately, the quality leader of purchasing and supply chain consultancies will integrate all lean management and process optimization projects in the Kerkhoff Consulting brand. Thus, in the future, the Düsseldorf-based consulting specialist offers its clients not only purchase cost reductions and working capital optimization, but also the reduction of production and administrative costs – all from one source. In the future, the longstanding Kerkhoff partner Michael Betzien will manage the business in the area of process optimization in administration and production. |
Gerd Kerkhoff, CEO of Kerkhoff Consulting, says: "Last year showed us that demand is high for integrated projects along the entire supply chain. Only when production, administration and sales are also taken into account, in addition to purchasing, can the working capital of enterprises be lastingly reduced for example, or comprehensive cost reduction projects be carried out."
In 2010, Kerkhoff Consulting successfully implemented several international cost reduction projects along the supply chain in collaboration with the subsidiary proLean Consulting GmbH – most recently in over nine countries for a major group listed on the stock exchange. After this successful start, Kerkhoff Consulting will now consistently integrate the activities of proLean Consulting in its own brand.
To this end, Michael Betzien transfers back – from the management of proLean Consulting – to Kerkhoff Consulting where he will be responsible as managing director for all lean and process optimization projects. Michael Betzien will be supported by top consultants of the former proLean Consulting GmbH which will be liquidated as of the end of the year.
In the future, the second general manager of proLean Consulting GmbH, Dr. Bodo Wiegand, will be concentrating on the activities at the Lean Management Institute (LMI). LMI's objective is to further develop and optimize the lean management concept and its tools in practice and research. In this respect, LMI cooperates with Hochschule Ruhr West – University of Applied Sciences – in Mülheim an der Ruhr.
