Before he started up his own consultancy in the year 2003, Diplom-Kaufmann Döhmen, with a PhD in economics, had been the Corporate Financial Officer (CFO) with the recycling group Nordag AG listed on the stock exchange, and also with the Duisburg-based Berzelius-Umwelt-Service AG. Döhmen himself heads the pertinent restructuring and reorganization projects and, for their operative implementation, he falls back on a pool of over 100 senior consultants.
"Classical restructuring consultants usually will look for how they can improve the balance sheet through financial measures", says Döhmen. "In contrast, we'll tackle with strong partners all those operative matters which will contribute to provide the company with a healthy cost structure again. And we'll not only look toward the turnaround with short-term measures but we'll elaborate long-term business perspectives for our clients."

Kerkhoff Consulting, the consultancy for purchasing and supply chain management, helps with the aspect of cost reduction in purchasing goods and services.
