Major Award

At the Hyatt Hotel in Düsseldorf on October 15, 2013, Wirtschaftswoche Chief Editor Roland Tichy and Frank Höselbarth, Managing Director of the Brand Consulting Agency People Brand and co-developer of the BoC method, presented the award ”Best of Consulting“ to Gerd Kerkhoff, Managing Director, and Bardo Hassemer, principal at Kerkhoff Consulting and responsible for the Coppenrath & Wiese project. This is another major award which Kerkhoff Consulting received within just a few years. Kerkhoff: “Our clients thus confirm towards the independent juries which had assessed us here: We meet our claims as a quality leader. Kerkhoff’s greatest potential was, still is and will remain its personnel. Thanks to the know-how and commitment of our employees, we are able to assert our position in the industry. Accordingly, I extend my special thanks to all employees for the fantastic work they perform. I have great faith in their strengths because it’s due to them that we are well set up for the future. We also thank our clients for their trust in us.“

Customer satisfaction is central measuring criterion

Customer satisfaction was a central measuring criterion of the study. In a three-stage process, customers were interviewed, a project was analyzed in detail with regard to its quality, and jury decisions were made. Kerkhoff Consulting had applied with its comprehensive consulting project with Conditorei Coppenrath & Wiese in Osnabrück. Its general management as well as its responsible budget managers and project leaders gave top grades to Kerkhoff consultants and certified that they had been ”very satisfied” with their work performance.

Wolfram Wacker, Head of the Department Supply Chain Management of Coppenrath & Wiese, which has a turnover of more than EUR 370 million per year, summarizes as follows: “We implemented a continuous improvement process by means of which we continuously develop our organization further. Kerkhoff Consulting supported us in this respect with application-specific approaches or concepts. Particularly important for us were precise communications in understandable language. Thus, everything a small or medium-sized business can expect of consultants and which is found all too rarely.”

Quality leader in  Supply Chain Management

“The fact that we were able to prevail over our competitors tells me that we are perceived by our clients as a reliable partner and quality leader“, said Kerkhoff.

On the background of the study:

The study was conducted on behalf of WirtschaftsWoche. In a first part, a questionnaire was mailed to 1,500 major enterprises in Germany. The interviewed executive personnel was to estimate the renown and reputation of the 40 strongest brand management consultancies domestically. In a second part, which was also based on the questionnaire, the interviewed clients evaluated how successful consultants had been in one or several projects to increase the client company’s operating result. In a third part of the competition, WirtschaftsWoche asked all consultancies in Germany which could present a significant track record, to have a client’s project assessed by a scientific advisory board and a jury. Projects may be submitted in the following disciplines: competitive strategy; marketing and distribution; supply chain management; IT management; restructuring; finances and risk management; and personnel. At the end of the day, a jury will select a winner.
