International Quality Seal for Animated Film of Kerkhoff Cost Engineering
“The objective had been to convey a highly abstract service in an entertaining and catchy way“, thus Lars Keller, Managing Director of Kerkhoff Cost Engineering. ”We are very pleased that we have been able to not only make our clients enthusiastic about the film but the jury as well.”
Just like in a classical image film or a brand film, the form of cinematic presentation employs the narrative device of “storytelling”. The viewer is thus emotionally captured by this animated film and convinced of its complex of themes.
Together with their ordering client, the film’s designers, Marc Schultes and Martin Jendrusch, are also pleased about the award.
“Winning the Red Dot Award Communication Design provides neutral proof of contemporary know-how“, says Prof. Dr. Peter Zec, initiator and CEO of the Red Dot, about the importance of the coveted quality seal.
In several days of meetings, the international jury of the worldwide largest and most renowned design competition assessed each of the roundabout 6,800 entries. But only the best will receive the Quality Seal for Design.

About Kerkhoff Cost Engineering:
Kerkhoff Cost Engineering is a management consultancy having specialized in product cost calculations, as well as in the identification of cost drivers in products and services.
The engineers and production specialists of Kerkhoff Cost Engineering analyze products and break them down to their individual parts in the value-added chain. It is thus possible to determine – all the way down to the individual process or the added purchase of a specific article – just what a product really costs in production. With such information, Kerkhoff Cost Engineering will help its clients to identify cost drivers, and it provides the basis for supplier negotiations or a client’s own process optimization. In workshops, the consultants of Kerkhoff Cost Engineering will discuss with suppliers on location where cost drivers are found and how they are eliminated.
The services of Kerkhoff Cost Engineering are used not only by major clients in individual and series production but also by medium-sized enterprises which want to lower their costs and thus produce more profitably.
