| Jürgen Pahl is new Senior Partner at Kerkhoff Consulting |
| Düsseldorf, March 9, 2011 – Effective immediately, Jürgen Pahl will be responsible for the Strategy consulting division at Kerkhoff Consulting, quality leader of consultancies specializing in purchasing and supply chain management. Before, Pahl had been active in the top management of the Düsseldorf-based Metro Group. |
| As Chief Supplier Management Officer and member of the Executive Board of Directors of Metro Cash & Carry International GmbH, Jürgen Pahl most recently managed the establishment of the international procurement organization in more than 31 countries. At MGB Metro Group Buying International GmbH, Pahl had established, for the Metro Group, the regional buying organizations WEST in Düsseldorf, SOUTH in Milan, CENTRAL in Warsaw and EAST in Moscow. He operatively managed the procurement companies in Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Rumania, Turkey, Italy and in Hong Kong. In 2009 and 2010, Pahl was a member of the board of the Foreign Trade Association (FTA) with central headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. Gerd Kerkhoff said: "Effective immediately, Jürgen Pahl will support us – he is an accomplished professional who has dedicated his entire career life to the strategic organization and operative implementation of international procurement." Pahl comes on board as a senior partner and will be responsible for complex strategy projects at Kerkhoff Consulting. He thus brings in his comprehensive know-how from the trading business. In addition to his new activity at Kerkhoff Consulting, Jürgen Pahl will also be offering personal consulting and moderation for top management in JPL Consulting GmbH in the future. Kerkhoff Consulting has a stake in that company.
