| Free of charge: First dictionary of purchasing for iPad and iPhone by Kerkhoff Consulting |
| Düsseldorf, February 22, 2011– From "advanced purchasing" to "bullwhip effect" and all the way to "maverick buying": The ever more complex world of industrial buyers and supply chain managers also brings about an ever more complex language. A maze of words sometimes difficult to understand for novices and seasoned professional buyers alike. To cast light on the matter, the purchasing consultancy Kerkhoff Consulting therefore published its first free app for iPad and iPhone: "Das Einkaufslexikon" (The dictionary of purchasing) with 770 special terms. |
"Today, buyers have ever more responsibility in their companies", says Gerd Kerkhoff, managing director of Kerkhoff Consulting. "Prominent cases, such as Barbara Kux from Siemens, show that supply chain managers today can even reach board member status in DAX companies [DAX stands for German blue chip stock market index]. This would not be conceivable if the world of buyers weren't much more complex today than even ten years ago." Media Contact |
